Scientists have always been searching for the eluding link between spirituality and science. There are some who believe that the fundamental essences of the universe are energy and information. As per the current understanding energy and matter always co- existed and is considered to be one and the same.

Over the past half a century or so some of the scientists realized the existence of an unknown energy that operates on the mental and emotional levels often causing phenomena that are classified as paranormal. Several attempts are made to scientifically study the miraculous powers of saints, God men, healers, and practitioners of holistic/ alternative medicines etc. The attempts did not result in any significant success.

Life Energy/ consciousness/ information signals are found to be transmitted by a unique individual Mr. Mahendra Kumar Trivedi. He defies the laws of human physiology and has been performing what a layman would call 'miracles'.  Several thousands of people in many countries all around the world suffering from physical, mental, spiritual and emotional disorders within last 12 years have been cured by Mr. Trivedi's physical touch/ thought intervention.

Are these Placebo effects or Real? To rule out the possibility of placebo effect and for deeper understanding Mr. Trivedi had conducted thousands of experiments in Life sciences and Materials science to observe the impact of his blessing(Divine energy) through thought intervention/ physical touch on several seeds/ plants/ trees, pathogenic bacterias, fungi, viruses, Metals ,Ceramics, Polymers, Organic & Inorganic compounds with the help of most sophisticated technologies available with the existing science. The results are miraculous, way beyond the comprehension and knowledge of present sciences. Typically, the DNA finger printing revealed that the energy caused DNA polymorphism up to 69% in crops and 79% in bacteria. As per the current understanding the gene sequences never alter for thousands of generations till evolution occurs (due to the primary forces between the genes as the latter are composed of atoms). The efforts of the scientists, using a variety of experimental techniques to alter the gene sequences had so far met with moderate success. Perhaps for the first time Mr. Trivedi has demonstrated the alteration of the gene sequences by huge proportion and that to by only his thought intervention/ physical touch.  

After obtaining astounding results in life sciences and to get an in-depth understanding of atoms Mr. Trivedi had designed a project in Materials science to comprehend the impact of his Energy at the atomic and molecular level which are not normally considered to have life of their own although they are building blocks of universe. He had selected more than 250 varieties of Metals, Ceramics, Polymers, and Organic and Inorganic compounds for experimentation with the help of several sophisticated instruments. The results are unbelievable and indicate that atoms and hence molecules do have a memory and respond to consciousness energy by altering their mass, charge and other characteristics. Normally the changes caused by external applied force/energy will revert back due to the restoring forces operating at the atomic level. However, the above mentioned changes are found to be permanent and do not alter even after the force is removed; even in the absence of Mr.Trivedi's physical presence. To the best of our knowledge this is the first time the Miracles are verified through scientific data. It is as if Mr. Trivedi at will commands energy to become matter and vice versa as indicted by change in atomic weight, atomic charge, the impossible change in ¹²C/¹³C abundance and even the changes in the spin states of electrons.

Atoms consist of mainly protons and neutrons in the nucleus surrounded by electrons revolving in specific orbits. During their formation some atoms belonging to the same element are found to exhibit different number of neutrons and hence different mass. These are known as isotopes. Typically carbon atoms exist in nature in the form of most stable ¹²C and ¹³C isotopes with relative amounts 0.98853- 0.99037 and 0.00963- 0.01147 respectively. The other carbon isotope ¹⁴C has a half life of 5700 years is used in radio carbon dating. The carbon isotopes that are normally analysed using mass spectroscopy are ¹²C and ¹³C where the intensity of the observed peaks (abundance) will be 98.918 and 1.082 respectively.  In a similar manner several elements exhibit isotopes with various abundances. In the present context the isotopic abundances of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, chlorine and nitrogen are important.

The results of x-ray diffraction on metals, ceramics, polymers and organic substances indicated that Mr. Trivedi’s energy had converted energy into mass which has not been done so far. To investigate this phenomenon further, 51 organic compounds in powder form and 33 in solution form are selected and investigated by GCMS. While the original data can be obtained by clicking the specific link, analysis of MS results for 10 compounds for which x-ray data is available in JCPDS files is given in the following sections.

Mr. Trivedi’s energy has increased the isotope abundances of M+1 ion up to a maximum of 413.4% in treated 4 Methoxyphenol and M+2 abundance up to a maximum of 40.6% in 2,4-Dichlorophenol. This is a convincing proof that energy has been converted to mass. The reverse, that is conversion of mass to energy has been also observed both in XRD and MS. Isotope abundances of M+1 ion decreased up to a maximum of 9.2% in treated 2,4 Dihydroxy benzophenone and M+2 abundances up to a maximum of 1.6% in
2 Chloroacetamide.

Mass spectroscopy, besides studying isotope abundances also helps in precise mass determinations, analytical chemistry, etc. Mass spectroscopy deals with ions, both molecular and fragment and these are characterized by separation on the basis of their mass-to- charge ratio. The instrument consists of an ion source for producing a beam of gaseous ions from the substance(s) being studied, an analyzer for resolving the ion beam into its characteristic mass components according to atomic mass units of the ions present and a detector for recording the relative abundance or intensity of each of the resolved ionic species present.

Capillary GC has received wide acceptance because it provides improved separations, shorter analysis times and improved quantification. The combination of capillary GC and MS affords high sensitivity, specificity and separator efficiency.

The lack of volatility is severe for materials of biological origin. This problem can be overcome by the combined on-line Liquid chromatography (LC-MS). However, the biggest problem that must be overcome for LC/MS is the incompatibility of continuously introducing the liquid effluent into the ion source high vacuum region of the mass spectrometer.
